    I am in the market for a new laptop for MBA school and I am contemplating getting an HP or Compaq or one of the eMachine M6800 series laptops.

    I was curious about the student discount with HP. Approximately what kind of savings can one expect?

    Actually, unless your school has a contract with HP the generic HP discount is 6%.
