    Hi,
I just bought this HP computer:
    - AMD AthlonTM X2 5400 Dual-Core Processor
    - 4096MB PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM memory(2x2048MB)
    - 500GB 7200RPM Serial ATA hard drive
    - NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Graphics with TurboCache with 128MB dedicated graphics memory; up to 1343MB total available graphics memory as allocated by Windows Vista®
    - Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium 64-bit edition with Service Pack 1

Just wonderring if I can downgrade from Vista 64bit to XP 64bit. And if yes, how?

Thanks for the help. Sorry if I make any duplicate, I tried to use search tool in the forum but couldn't do it.

do you have xp64? if so just install it

if you JUST bought it, you'd likely have to check with the retailer if that is an option

What is the model number of that computer?

Yes you can do that. There are a few ways to go about it so that all of your drivers will work with XP. I suggest browsing some of the stickies. You are like the 9 millionth person to ask. :)

XP64 has poor driver support. Make sure you have all the drivers before attempting to install it.

I agree with flipfire. XP 64's driver support is abysmal as compared to Vista 64.

XP x64 is quite bad I have to say. At least the Vista64 has better 32bit support.
