I've got a DV as you can see in my sig. When using the web cam with Skype I cannot change very many of the settings. Only color, contrast, etc. I would like to adjust the other settings that Skype offers like zoom, tilt, pan, etc. but they are all grayed out so I can't change them. How do I get the HP or OS to release control of the camera so Skype can make those changes? Any suggestions? The one thing that bothers me the most is my head is about 20% of the picture. The rest of the screen shows the room and surroundings which is a total waste of space. Other than moving my face closer to the camera which is not a comfortable use position what else can I do? Does anyone use any 3rd party software (preferably free) with their built in camera that they would suggest? Oh, and is Skype compatible. TIA. :)

Any options that are grayed out aren't adjustable since the camera is a stationary one. Zoom/tilt/pan can be adjusted by moving the laptop itself
