    Hi,

I recently bought a configured order from office depot via tech depot website during the promotional labor day sale they have and I was wondering if either of those 100 dollar rebates would work for this particular model since I can't find it under the listed model on the rebate form. Plus if you have a configure/built-to-order model, how can you determine exactly which rebate is right for you since HP offer both a 50 dollar rebate and a 100 dollar rebate. I would love to use both but of course the site list you can't combine the offers. Thanx in advance for you guys' help and I think this forum is real helpful in offering great knowledgable helps as well as great promotional deals also.

The rebates (both the $100 and $50) says it includes config-to-order models. I believe others have CTO'ed on non-HP sites such as FatWallet, Cosco, and BB's or CC's config-to-order systems and use the rebates. However, I am not 100 percent sure. I believe since you configured your order and it has to come from HP, it is still CTO in HP's eyesight. Moderators, am I right on this?

If I am right, then you can use either rebate. Go for the $100 one. It is still good until 12/1/2004.

I bought the same laptop from officedepot and i am going to use the $100 rebate. Someone on another forum called and checked with a rep if HP will honor the rebate for the system and they said yes. BUT YOU CAN NOT USE BOTH $100 & $50. ONLY 1 of them, i think i will go with the $100.[ ;)] Let me know ur specs of ur machine. Mines should be arriving within the next week. [ :p]

Thanx you guys for the response. Hopefully with the rebate and OD honoring their own 250 rebate we can end up saving 350 total of the whole system. Since I am kind of on a budget, my spec isn't all that great...I got pretty much the minimum for all with the addition of the 512mb memory and the b/g wireless card. Don't plan to use this for any heavy duty work though. Hopefully, mine should be arrived by next week. Thanx against for the help u guys.
