So I've recently come to the decision to buy this laptop for school and was about to buy it tonight....and i backed out. I configured it with the 6770m card, a 9cell battery and the 1080p display. Came out to about 1200 and with a $200 coupon final price w/tax and shipping was $1,084. I decided to hold off in wait for a better deal. I don't need it urgently..school doesn't start until August for mebut was curious on how often these coupons come around and if I'm gonna regret this decision.

I paid $1046.49 with a 30% off coupon for this:

details in my signature at the bottom. I'm not sure if that helps. -
however, do realize that this is the average price, not the lowest price, which is what you should be going for. in other words, the best deals are the exceptions, not the averages - and to predict the exceptions is as reliable as predicting a coin flip. -
The deal right now sucks in my opinion...

For 927.49$ + NV Tax: $75.13 = $1002.62
And I was so lucky to get one of the last 30% coupons hours before all of them were used.
Then there was 25% coupon but with free 8gb RAM which for is completely waste of money (this 5%)
The offer now doesn't include Free Blue-ray which is +75$ and the coupon is only 200$
I think HP won't release 25%/30% coupons soon. -

I'm also looking into getting the dv6t soon. Right now the HP.com website gives you an automatic $100 off plus you can use the additional $200 off promo code. So $300 off is pretty decent. My customized laptop would come to $1014 w/ tax & delivery and the $300 off. Although, it'd be even nicer if we knew the laptop would be cheaper come aug/sep.

Yeah because I'll buy it now if it's unlikely any better coupons or deals come around, but if I can hold off and get a better deal soon then I'm happy to wait.
