    just out of curiosity..
when you got your computer it arrived in a plain brown shipping box right?
    with labels etc..

well I dont have the box anymore.. but I do have the two papers they put on the side of the box.. which says the box ID, serial Number, part number HP SO#, PaCK ID etc

is basicly the BOX ID attachement and the costumer packing list pages

I am trying to return this defective laptop to compusa and they ask me for the UPC number

so is the upc number in the pages I have (I dont see anything about UPC though) or was it in one of the labels in the original shipping box..
    thanks

The UPC is on a label stuck on to the side of the box.
