    Hello,

    So I am checking out my laptop and I check the system information and it says it is a hp pavilion dv6500 notebook pc

    but the sticker on the bottom of the laptop says dv6629ca

    also, all hps are supposed to have norton antivirus 60days??

    i don't got it..but i got windows liveone care

    so what is up?

    HP just uses the same chassis over and over again, so this does not surprise me. I've read reports of this all over the forums.

    Just check and make sure you have all the hardware you paid for (right CPU, RAM, HDD, GPU, etc) and you're good to go.

    As Greg mention, it should not be anything to be worried apart.

    Dv6000=family
    Dv6500=series
    DV6629=specific model

    There should be a system information dialogue( I dont know the exact name/location in Vista) that should tell you most of the info but there are also software that tell you info about your system.

    if you ordered livecare with the laptop then you probably won't get norton
