I currently have a dv5000t that I love and has served me well the past 2 years. However I think its time for me to get a new laptop. Well my brother wants to use my dv5000t so I'm just probably going to get a new laptop anyways.

I wanted to get a dv6700t but I have just a few questions:
    1) I despise Windows Vista. From personal experience, I'd prefer to have XP over Vista. Is it possible to wipe Vista off my dv6700t and start fresh with a clean install of XP? My biggest concern is non compatibility with some of the dv6700t's stuff like the webcam. I'd only want to do it if the transition from Vista to XP would be very smooth. No major hassles. I don't mind installing drivers and what not.

    2) I've read abuot the 6800t being out soon. Other than Blu-Ray addition is there a need for me to seriously wait that much longer? Blu-Ray isn't a big deal to me to be honest, so if that's going to be the big difference then i'll just gladly get the 6700t now.

DV 6800 CT is out already, I think you should get a business model of HP(8510p or w) not a pavillion , especially when you love XP pro more than Vista premium.
