Has anyone used or owned an HP TX25xx ?

    Are they any good ?

How easy is the screen to see outside or in a vehicle where its bright ?

Does the touchscreen work ok with fingers or do you always need to use the pen ?

    Thanks

Runs warm/hot depending on what you are doing. Plus the fan runs all the time. Is it good? Well, its pretty much the cheapest new tablet you can buy AFAIK and you kinda get what you pay for. The touch screen and the wacom digitiser is excellent, no complaints there but the screen itself is terrible. Bad viewing angles, grainy and I would not recommend it for outside use. Even in the shade the screen is hard to view at max brightness. I strongly do not recommend it for outside use.

Windows Vista is not designed for use with fingers and so most often you would need to pen for accuracy. The fingers are fine for scrolling, large icons etc but accessing menu bars and small icons in programs is quite difficult and better to use the pen for such actions.

If budget isn't a concern, the lenovo X200t, hp 2730p are quite good and the 2730p is offered specifically with an outdoor screen option. The Fujitsu T5010 would probably be the next best option price wise.

BTW, refurbs might be a good option if you dont mind going down that route.
