I just installed Notebook Hardware Control on my DV4000 and had a temp question. The temp will get up to 50c-53c and then the fan will take it down to 37c or so, but in the NHC screen, it will now say 37c (52c). So how do I know which is the actual temp? Does anyone else monitor theirs??... wondering what the normal temp is while surfing and not gaming or anything.

l'm assuming your talking about the CPU? lf you are then all of those temps you listed were all fine.

Yup, sorry, should have mentioned that, it is CPU. HD temps stay very low, in the 20's! Thanks

I am having the same question about the dv4000 I just purchased. Using NHC I get a CPU temperature of 39 C (63 C).
Looking under the temperature tab of NHC, and clicking on ACPI details the following information is revealed: The second number in parenthesis is from thermal zone #1 and the first is from thermal zone #0.
Does anyone know what physical measurements these zones refer to?
