    Hello.
Right now i have a compaq cq150 and i have it since 2008 and i have been looking at some laptops and considering replacing this one because the battery doesn't last longer than a few minutes( i already get a warning that i need to replace it) and also this computer has a lot of heating problems and i always have to put a book or something underneath and it still has the fans always working and gets hot. I have been looking at the dv6 (6060) but I've heard/read that this heating problem is common on hp/compaq laptops, does the new hp dv6 has this problem as well or hp fixed the heating problems?

Other questions i have about this laptop is about the beats audio, the webcam and the battery. Do the beats audio noticeable even with headphones that aren't beats? And the speakers, are good?
The webcam says "truevision HD". Does that mean that it records HD? It's not that important but it would be a nice feature to have.
How long does your battery last usually?
Also if you want/can give your thoughts on this laptop i would appreciate it :D
    Thanks

There are MANY versions of the HP DV6. The 6060 model you referred to, is no longer listed on the HP site so I assume it's an old model and as such, very few of us can answer you questions.

I will say that the HP DV6TQE list in my sig is cool running and has very good audio.

My dv6tqe-6000 doesn't ever feel warm. Always cool to the touch. If temperatures are a concern, you may want to find a model equipped with either a SSD or a 5400rpm HDD. The audio is a little better than an ordinary notebook, but not stellar. You can clearly hear what you play, media-wise. You have four speakers - but only two channels and no sub-woofer. So don't expect true surround sound. The webcam is nothing special. Produces about you'd expect from a notebook webcam. Right now there are ongoing issues with HP's/ATi's switchable graphics technology in the Radeon HD 6770M. Not a bad thing if you are just a casual user who doesn't put a great deal of emphasis on video-editing or gaming. But if you demand alot of performance from your GPU, you may want to look elsewhere until the bugs are worked out of the driver software. The card itself is great. Powerful. Just alot of people are hit and miss with it. The black/umber finishes tend to collect fingerprints easily and give the notebook a greasy look.

Overall, for the features, you cannot find another notebook with these specs for the price. I am happy with mine. There are a few minor glitches, but nothing that can't be worked out over alittle time. Then again, I am also a casual user, so I do not represent those users who demand performance.
