HP DV5t Start with a T3200, but half way up it changes to P7350, and then changes again back to T with T9400.

What is the difference between a say T5800 and a P7350? They both run at the same ghz.

What does T and P mean and how can T be both below and about P?

Mainly it will help battery life...

I think it may run slightly cooler.

Takes about 5 minutes of googling time to find something like this COMPARISON OF MOBILE PROCESSORS (CPU BENCHMARKS) and the best part about that is you get to use your new DV5T and have fun, after that you might of had questions that weren't so easy to find which would of been a good reason to post here!

well im more curious on the other advancements, not just the processing power.

Namely the heat. I was told P is much cooler running.

There might be a slight drop in heat because you're using less watts but I don't believe it could be that much. Some T use the newer 45 nanometer architecture and some don't, that's were I believe there's a real difference.

Bottom line: get the cheapest P series processor.
