I've been out of the computer loop for a while. I still run a computer with a GeForce 2 :/ Anyways, with transferring schools I feel that getting a laptop would be a good idea.

I've decided to get an HP from costco since there's a 90 day return policy and they extend HP warranty +2 years....that and because I have a coupon for a laptop they have going on sale for $750 in a couple weeks with the following specs:

    Core2 Duo T5300
    2 gigs ram
    160 gig hdd
    Dual layer DVD rw
    Webcam

The coupon doesn't list the graphics card or model, but with it's cheap price I think it's probably the 6000t and a gma 950 rather than the newer x3100.

Anyways, I've been doing some research for the past week and it seems like the GMA 950 is an extremely undesired graphics card for Vista. Most of the threads I've been reading though date back to late 2006 or early 2007 and they speak of better drivers for the card that should be coming out.

    So, here's question one:

I'll be using this for school, surfing the web, listening to music and watching movies. I also have a Steam account so I may play some Day of Defeat. Can I expect it to be able to do all of this?

    Question two:
This does sound like a 6000t, right? It is 15.4".

Thanks for any help and putting up with something you may be asked a lot.
