    muvee autoProducer 6.0
Does this program do anything useful? If not I'm going to uninstall it.

    NetWaiting
    Do I need this?

    PSSWCORE
What is this? Related to HP I've heard? Is this necessary?

    PX Engine
Has to do with Roxio? I don't need it right?

Roxio Activation Module, Roxio Creator Audio, Roxio Creator v9, Roxio Creator Copy, Roxio Creator Data, Roxio Creator EasyArchive, Roxio Creator Tools, Roxio Express Labeler, Roxio MyDVD Basic v9

I doubt I need this? Or to use LightScribe is this necessary?

    Viewpoint Media Player
    Uninstall?

BTW, I'm looking at Tools in CCleaner.

Muvee AutoProducer is basically the same thing as Windows Movie Maker, I'd uninstall and get back the X00mb or so it takes up.

NetWaiting, if I remember correctly, only applies to dial-up users. It let's you call while still being connected to the internet.

Roxio are basically copies of programs already included in Vista. I deleted mine but you can keep yours if you think you'll need it. As for me, I replaced it with Nero 8.

Viewpoint is some kind of spam media player, I think. I deleted mine.

    LOL

It's from AOL. You should delete everything connected with AOL, IMO.

and if i may, perhaps a complete clean install will solve all your bloatware problems?

Too late to clean install. I've done a lot of tweaking, customizing and what not.
I just didn't uninstall a couple of bloatware apps.

why are you deleting Roxio stuff? you don't want to use it to burn DVD/CD?
I say keep it, otherwise, you will have to find other burning software.

does your dvd burner support lightscribe? if not, then it's useless.

Does HP still put that Vongo on? That was spyware. had to delete lines in the registry to kill that one. What a self resurrecting POS that was.

I like Nero as well but I think Roxio uses sonic record now burn engine which is good. The old Roxio burn engine was crap. But since Sonic bought them out I believe they are decent now.

Also, for dual layer burning I use IMGburn. Its the only one that seems to burn the layer break good and they play well on my standalones. Nero is horrible in how it authors dual layer breaks (dvd9).

Vongo sucked. I actually signed up and used the trial too... and then couldn't get rid of it!

Lightscribe is awesome... You can label your cd's (lightscribe compatible) with anything you want. I would use Nero 7 personally...

All the other crap: Axe it. HP is notorious for their bloatcrap. But most of it is very easy to get rid of.

Hmmm. I get 25 pages of hits on that search argument. Do an advanced search on the same search argument and add my username to limit the threads found and it will cut that 25 pages down to 2 pages of topics. Still, significantly more than "nothing".
