This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    guys should i stick with a crappy uk standard brightview display or get a radiance one in Canada while i'm there at the cost of a bilingual keyboard???

    Get the Canadian model. Trust me, the Radiance display is that beautiful. I mean I haven't compared it to the HP BrightView but comparing it to my Sony Vaio NS150 with a resolution of 1280x800 the Radiance has much (MUCH!) richer colors and much brighter too. It makes the Vaio's screen looks washed out and dull. I didn't mind the Sony's screen before but after using this I could never go back.

    Besides, just get the bilingual keyboard and map it to the US settings. It's not a HUGE difference, it only took my about a week and a half to get completely used to the new setup when I bought my VAIO with a bilingual keyboard.
