    Hey - I lost my remote control that goes into the Express Card slot. Not that I ever used it, but I don't like the gaping hole it leaves behind.

    I can buy a new one for $12 on ebay, which is great. One thing I can't remember is if it had a silver "bezel" as part of the remote to make it look like part of the silver trim on the side - or is it just black?

    Can someone take a quick look at thiers and let me know? I want to make sure I'm ordering the right thing. Thanks!

    It's not silver trimmed, its black. If it wasn't the IR beam wouldn't get through it.

    That's what I thought. So when its residing in the laptop there's no "silver bezel" that covers the remote right?

    I've never used the remote...but it's $12 on ebay. The "blank" that does have a silver bezel can only be purchased as part of a "plastics kit" that runs around $60....I'd rather spend the $12. haha.

    Correct.
    The blank one (which one the laptop originally comes with) has a silver bezel.
    The remote itself doesn't have anything (has a blk IR friendly top).
