    Hi all,

I did search but I did not find a definite answer to the following:

    1. How can I disable the quick play button so that when my computer is off and if I pass my hand over it, it does not start my computer? I already removed everything that has to do with HP quick play.

    2. From what I gathered there is no way to turn off the lights of the quick buttons? or to disable them to do nothing?

The #1 is really weird why put a power button to start the computer if I can pass my hand over the quick play button....BTW, I have the dv5t.

    Thanks,
    Reha

Theres was something called Quickplay Direct which sits on a seperate partition.

It would let you run Quickplay without booting into Windows. So you can use the notebook like a portable DVD player. Unfortunately its not compatible with Vista.

No way to disable the button AFAIK and theres no way to turn the lights off just for the QP button.

Thanks for the information. Wow, so they just left the quickplay on for vista, even though it is not supported. I can see the usefulness of the quickplay with XP so you can watch DVD without booting into the OS...oh well....
