I've all but gave up on Sony because everytime I go to place an order, something happens. I've been configuring some HPs today and I'm thinking about placing my order. I was just wondering what accessories come with it when it ships? Under the accessories list, there is an "HP Mobile Remote Control Express Card". Under the description, it says its an "extra" remote, but no where else can I find that the laptop comes with one. With my student discount, this is an $18.99 add-on. I don't really want to add one thinking that I wouldn't get one otherwise and then end up getting two of them.

Also, is the 8400m GS going to be drastically different from the 8400m GT? This is the main concern that is keeping me from ordering the HP right now. The Sony FZ4000 has the GT and they are priced similarly. The HP, on the otherhand has the GS, but has 3GB of RAM instead of 2GB like the Sony.

The 8400GT is slgihtly better than GS from what i heard in the Geforce 8400 thread in the gaming section of this forum

Search for benchmarks, this should be more accurate than hearsay

I called them afterwards and they refunded my remote price and told me to keep the remote. So I now have 4 express card remotes... One came with it, one I ordered, and 2 came with my tv tuner I got on e-bay... Along with the large remote!

That is really the only thing that comes with it... No earbuds or anything. I just mention those because I have seen that a lot of preconfigured come with them. Enjoy your new laptop!!

I thought they included the AC adapter/ charger so I didn't order one when they showed me the accessory page.

Am I suppose to order one separately on HP's site?

I didn't get a TV tuner or anything like that, but I did get one remote with the laptop....it fits nicely into a slot on the front edge of the right side of the laptop - I'm sure it will be invaluable for presentations and the like.

All hp laptops systems come with a AC adapter, battery and mini remote. You can choose to buy one seperately incase you need a spare one in the office

My first laptop came with HP earphones, my second one didnt for some reason.

I actually like them, sturdy and simple.
