Well recently I reformatted my dv9500t to remove all the bloatware HP put on it.
I did backup the Swsetup folder before reformatting.
My question is this:
Upon reformatting most of the hardware is recognized immediately without having to install anything.
My question is should I go ahead and install all the drivers anyway? Or am I alright just installing the drivers for the unrecognized hardware.
I'm just curious if there will be any performance gain and/or advantages if I go ahead and install all the drivers regardless if the hardware is already recognized or not.
I also noticed that ESU & MSCU for Windows Vista came installed on the Laptop by default and are also located in the Swsetup folder. I'm assuming these are important updates that I should make sure to install, my question is can I get them off of Windows Vista's Updater? Or are these hotfix's meant for this specific Laptop and not located on the update site.
Thanks

It depends. In some cases, the HP drivers work better than the ones provided by Vista. Generally, I would download the latest ones off of HP website to be safe, but if both work, you should be fine.
Also, if you get any BSODs, install HP's drivers.
