    Quick question about switchable graphics...

    A simple Yes or No is suffice.

    Can you set it so when plugged in uses the discreet graphics and on battery it uses integrated graphics? If yes, I will do my own research, thank you.

    Yes for my Envy 14 first generation, but not sure about second gen. Friend of mine just bought a Sandy Bridge DV6 and the switchable graphics appears to be application specific for that laptop. Of course I didn't play around with it too much.

    second gen envy 14 has the option (a bios update) to make it use switchable graphics like the first gen envy 14 (fixed switching). Check the owners lounge
