Hi, for dv7, there are xxxxNR, xxxxUS, wat's the stand for? Thanks..
-
Here are all the model suffix meanings:
* t : Intel Processor
* z : AMD Processor
* ae : Artist Edition (Artist Edition Imprint)
* bw : Broadband Wireless Series
* se : Special Edition ("Intensity" dv4tse, "Renewal" dv5tse, Special Edition Imprint)
* us : United States
* ca : Canada
* la : Latin America
* ea / ee / (e + a letter) : Europe / Middle East
* au / ax : Asia / Australia - AMD Processor
* tu / tx : Asia / Australia - Intel Processor
* nr : No Region
* cl : Club Model (These models are available only through some clubs like Costco and Sam's Club)
* wm : Walmart Model
* br : Brazil
* ap : Asia Pacific -
so that basically means the dvd has either a no region capability or is limited by us dvd's.

Thanks for the clarifications..
Very informative.. -
what about CTO?
-
No, not necessarily. The one sold in Walmart in the US is going to have the same DVD region of the one sold in a US Bestbuy. but, there will be differences between ones sold in specific regions like the US or EU etc w.r.t to the power cord, manuals, DVD region etc.
Those are just the ones which you can custom order in the US. -
CTO stands for Configure To Order (incase you were wondering)
Quick question: NR, US, etc?
