    Quick question... please advice!

    Hello,

    Noob here...

    i had a couple of quick questions... i got a Compaq V6719NR from best buy (got it for $238 OTD) and did a successful clean install of Vista using the guide on this website..

    with that said... my question is, what is the max ram i could put in this? it came with 1gb and the hp website states max of 2gb... would it support 2.5gb?

    also, what is better? removing one 512 stick and putting in a 2gb stick (total of 2.5gb) or removing both 512s and putting in two sticks of 1gb?

    Go to Crucial

    Click Here

    Click "Scan My System"

    Allow the ActiveX Control to install

    Then it'll run your system and tell you absoultely everything you need to know about any possible ram configuration.
