I wonder if it would be possible to buy one of these and throw an A10-4600M from eBay in it. :D

Right? The price seems like a good deal. I wonder how an a-10 would fair against the 7670 in the intel sleekbook.

i ask two things of HP:

    1. that they allow use of a fully enabled A10 chip
    2. that they do so in the Envy 4 chassis

    *fingers crossed*

Nope, the 17W and 25W Trinity are soldered to the motherboard in BGA socket, while the 35W Trinity use FS1r2 socket. It is a very unfortunate thing, because I pretty sure the 35W APU also could work in Sleekbook without heating too much.

I just played around one of these at the local Fry's and it seems like a very nice laptop. They actually didn't even have them out on the floor, said there was no room to display them, yet i saw many locations for them. I was unable to power it up, but played with the keyboard and held it and it felt very light for its size and very well built.

Anyone know how well the A6 can handle solidworks and other Cad applications ? I currently have an i7 aspire s3 that feels gutless with only 4gb ram and am looking to get something better.

Seeing the pictures I start really like this sleek machine, but not sure if storage capacity would be enough for me. Is it use 7mm HDD? mSata port for adding SSD near to the HDD?
I could also imagine something smaller adapter than 65W, 17W APU do not need that big room.

I would love to be the guinea pig for one of these but, alas, I just bought a new (to me) car so I won't have the money to for at least a month.
