I've been aware that there is an option to "click and drag" with a touchpad for some time, but I've never used it. This feature seems to be turned on for my dv4000.

My problem is, I have no idea how I'm doing it. Sometimes I'll just be dragging my pointer around the screen and suddenly I'm draging a window with me. I try to recreate this, and I fail. How does this feature work?

If I can't stop doing it accidentally or train myself to do it on purpose, I'll just disable it. It seems like a useful feature, though, now that I don't have a pointing nub anymore.

tap it twice and hold your finger on the touchpad on your second tap, then you can drag a window.

Excellent. It seems like my natural tendency is to lift ever-so-slightly after the second tap. Double-tapping habit is hard to break, I guess. I'm getting the hang of it, though.

I did notice that I can turn "click and drag" on under the Windows properties in my Control Panel, but it isn't on. Odd.
