    QuickPlay drivers Please HELP :(

    hi yesterday i started a fresh clean install of windows vista and first i downloaded all drivers for my notebook from the HP web page and then deleted all partitions and started a fresh install... don't know what i did wrong but now i cant see movies on my dvd!?! and my web cam and my quick play buttons does not work?!?

    i have download and install all drivers from the web page but still don't work...

    any help or hints??

    ok problem with the DVD is that it don't even recognize the movies dvd's and does not make an autorun pop up... it very strange... the notebook comes with windows vista

    Which version of Vista are you running? Home Premium & Ultimate have the native DVD codec, Home Basic & Business do not.

    Then your dvds should work in WMP11 and Media Center.

    the thing is that dvd-rom don't recognize the movie dvds... it does not even load the auto run or whats in it... its like theres no dvd in it

    What happens when you go to your DVD drive in "Computer" and right-click on it? There should be options to "Play In...."

    ok the dvd drive that i was seeing is the deamon tools virtual drive!!!?? omg windows vista dont recognice my dvdr drive!! wtf...

    any solutions?

    Does it show up in Device Manager, or as an unkown device? At the top of the device tree where your PC name is, right-click and select "Scan For Hardware Changes" and see if it shows up.

    Is it the Mat$hita drive in the Device Manager? Does it say there is a driver error?

    If so, I had the same problem and a tech guy helped me through some registry editing to get the driver to work. I'll try to scrounge around for the steps. Don't know exactly where they are though...
