    Hi guys...

Just bought a HDX Dragon, which has those sensitive quicklaunch buttons that get pressed accidentally from time to time, turning off the wireless lan and bluetooth mouse connection. Until this, that's fine... but what is really driving me crazy is that the buttons are not working anymore, they have suddenly stopped. I don't know if it was after some Vista Update or when I optimized my msconfig autostart.

I've tried everything possible: turned on ALL factory items at msconfig/autostart again (didn't work), uninstalled and installed Quickplay, quicklaunch & quick everything from the swsetup folder (didn't work), manually deleted the drivers at the device manager (didn't work), deleted the drivers and uninstalled all related softwares and forced the hardware driver installation again (didn't either), so I don't know what to do... Making a system is restore is really out of question, as I spent days configuring the whole machine, installing my softwares, etc.

Does anyone had success dealing with this problem? The buttons are there, fully enlighted, but nothing happens when I touch them.

By the way, if anyone is expecting to use the tv tunner with Windows Media Center on a HDX, forget about it.

    Thanks.

    You have to update BIOS.

    I had the same issue.

    Cheers,
    Craig.

    Happened to me once!

    Turn the computer OFF.
Remove the battery and wait 15 sec.
    Insert the battery again.
    Fire it up!

    Working???

When you follow Registered's approach at fixing it, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds after you remove the battery and AC adapter. This will flush out all electric charges on the system, except the battery for the BIOS of course.

Also, you state that if anyone is expecting to use the TV Tuner with Media Center on the HDX forget about it, but you don't say why. Please explain yourself when you make statements like that so people know your reasoning behind it.
