My dv6500t came with vista. I recently downgraded to xp with a fresh install and got rid of teh recovery partition too. In vista, quickplay would boot up the computer, but i hear that in xp, it doesn't boot up the os. Is this true? Does anyone have a link I can download quickplay for xp? Thanks guys!

From what I have read, in XP, quickplay is installed on a separate partition of around 2GB and should work without the need of the OS. Not so in Vista, where it needs Vista to be up and running to work.

On another note, how did you get XP onto your 6500? What did you do for SATA support?
