As the title suggests, my quickplay buttons on my dv9500t no longer make their little sound when pressed. I recently flashed my BIOS up to version F.22 and they haven't worked since, though everything else is fine. Anyone have any idea how to turn the sounds back on?

Wow, you really liked that sound? lol.

Anyways, you can change it in the BIOS.

Well, that's the thing. I know the sound would become annoying, but at least it gave an indication of when I was actually pressing the buttons. I checked the BIOS and it reports that the sound is enabled. Not a big deal I guess, because the buttons work fine. It is just a pain that there is something wrong.

One of the recent BIOS updates released by HP disabled the QP sounds even if it was enabled in the BIOS. I dont see any updates for the dv9500t but they did release an updated BIOS for the dv2500/dv6500t series which fixed this 'mess up'.

Thanks, that seems to explain it. I guess I'll just have to wait for an update to be released for the dv9500t.

what you can do is download the one for the dv2500/6500t and run it. in the beginning there's release notes, if they mention the dv9500t then it is a bios for yours too but sometimes HP just doesnt add the bios to specific models or just takes their time doing so.

of course if you download it and it doesnt mention it will work on the 9500t then dont continue and just close it, all that this costs to you is a wasted download of a few MBs
