Those of you using clkgen, how long does a 12 cell last at min speed (1gig) and how long at max speed? As far as I can tell all of the 3700's are the desktop chip not the DTR which can drop down to 800Mghz. Are all of the AMD64's desktop chips?

The only test I did was to play DVD video for just over 3 hours while at 1GHz at 0.85V. I'd imagine you'd get quite a bit more than 3 hours just doing web browsing and what not. 1.4GHz at 1V is very efficient too.

I should think all the zv5000z/R3000z series notebooks are using DTR-class Athlon 64s. There is a DTR-class 3700+ listed in AMD's guide on amd.com. The only real difference between the DTR's and desktop chips is the DTR chip package lacks the protective aluminum lid (makes for better cooling but trickier installation).

Thanks, that tells me a lot. My Tosh w/P4M 2 gig has to run full speed and blo lots of hot air to play a DVD for around an hour and a half and it has the same 440 chip although I believe it's only a 6 cell.
