The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Has anyone else noticed that the R3000 forum has been hacked? What's the point in that?

    Kids these days...

We'll have to wait until nedlyj notices before that gets fixed. Mere moderators don't have sufficient access.

that sucks, big time. whoever did that is so worthless and has way too much time on their hands. having run websites that fell victim to hacker attacks, I can't tell you how frustrating and befuddling it is that people find it cute to hurt small businesses and steal a resource from the public.

R3000Forums is back online. The General forum was lost but everything else appears to be there. 'Twas quite a mess.

Well, that didn't last long. Hacked again. The URLs in the hacked page trace back to Turkey, dunno about the miscreants themselves.

Well, that sucks. It's not often you find a forum for your specific laptop, especially when it's an obsolete model.

Back online again with updated forum software. Hopefully it'll stay up this time.
