I ordered one with the 3.00GHz w/HT I was wondering what kinda of features are used on this chip to save power when running off the battery? Dose it use Speedstep? and if so could someone please explain how it will work on this chip, I understand the AMD powernow but I have trouble even finding informaiton on this chips power managment.

If it's not a mobile processor, I don't think it has a whole lot in the way of power-saving features. I have a zx5000 with a P4 3.2 ghz (non-mobile) and I can get around 2 1/2 hours of battery life out of it.
As I understand SpeedStep, the computer monitors the load on the CPU--if demand isn't that high, it slows the processor down. It might also monitor other factors, but I'm not sure what they are. Maybe battery life remaining or something like that.
