brianstretch Notebook Virtuoso
Depends on the game. The GeForce 440 Go, having 32MB of dedicated memory, is better than any shared memory video solution. That said, it's still weak. Modern 3D games will require you to turn down resolution and detail levels an awful lot (but they will run). If you're more into strategy games (Rise of Nations, etc) you'll be fine.
Outside of the weak GPU (and the Linux-hostile WiFi card) the R3000z/zv5000z series notebooks are great machines. Very solid. Fedora Core 3 Linux works well with them (64-bit FC3, if you pick a model with the Athlon 64 CPU). -
youll be getting like 50fps on Counter strike if you play it at 800x600 resolution. Thats not really the right notebook for gaming. Actually i dont see any advantage to that notebook except as expensive paperweight. Sorry.
