    zeanimal,
I've read many of your threads over the past month (As I was also shopping for a notebook). Just to let you know, I understand that you want to play the latest games such as Doom 3, but that computer listed above won't play it very well at all considering the weak graphics card and small amount of memory. I think I have the perfect notebook for you. Have you ever heard of the Manufacturer named "Clevo"? They make notebooks for Sager, ProStar, M-Tech, Hypersonic, Alienware, etc. Check out these websites for the best prices:
    http://www.DiscountLaptops.com
    http://www.PortableZ.com
    http://www.Mtechlaptops.com
    http://www.pctorque.com

The notebook I purchased is the M-Tech D470K, the EXACT same computer as the Sager 4750/ProStar 4764.

Trust me on this bro, unlike HP/Compaq Zv5000v/R3000Z, this computer will run Doom 3 like butter. They also feature BriteView/Xbrite, but on a higher res monitor! Good luck my friend.

The only reason I'm positive that this is the right choice for you is, well, we were searching for the same thing. Please feel free to check out NotebookForums.com to do more research if you wish.

Edit: (Also, for you other HP/Compaq lovers viewing this thread, I just wanted to let you know that I love HP/Compaq, it's just that they don't offer a GPU in their AMD64 line that meet sufficient gaming needs.)

    M-Tech D470K (Sager 4750-V) | 17" WSXGA+ GlassView | Athlon 64 3400+ | 1GB ram | ATI 9700 128meg | 60G 7200rpm HD | DVD±R/RW DL |Wireless | Bluetooth |
