So do any of these new HP's support 16gb's of RAM? The configuration options seem to stop at 8, but maybe they can really go to 16 gigs?

Sandy Bridge is awesome but only helps me run multiple virtual machines if I have 12 or 16 gigs of RAM...

Unless there's been a major change, they probably still only have 2 memory slots, so until 8 GB SODIMMs become commonly available, we don't know. My personal guess is that they probably can, given the availability of said SODIMMs, but since 8 GB SODIMMs are still OEM available only at huge markups (like $2000 a stick), it's not exactly something that's easy to test.

He's talking specifically about the Sandy Bridge notebooks, though, and for those we only have the DV6 and DV7 presently. Those, I think are still limited to just 2 RAM slots.

Agreed, but indicators are that we won't find out until close to May (for Elitebooks).
