    hi,

Ordered 2 1gig chips for my notebook (see signature). Problem is now unreal 2004 plays for a couple minutes then crashes to a blue screen and restarts. Also sometimes when I try World of Warcraft or FEAR Combat it will crash to the prompt that asks if I would like to send the error log over the net.

So then I restart and WOW and FEAR works most of the time.

Made sure to check the ram that was in the machine on the sticker so we ordered the same specs.

So what do I do to fix this problem?

*Started avoiding loading games to see if it was just games, firefox is crashing often, blue screens have occured a few times just with surfing.

Burn and boot MemTest86+. Let it run for at least half an hour. Odds are it will find errors.

I recommend returning the memory you bought in favor of Crucial PC3200 (DDR400) SODIMMs. That's what I have in my dv8125nr. AMD's high-performance integrated memory controller isn't as tolerant as the external controllers Intel notebooks use.
