I am interested in getting the zt3000 but would like some info on RAM. I remember reading (don't know if it was this forum or somewhere else) that it was better to have two stick of RAM instead of one to take advantage of the 'dual' in DDR. With only one, it runs slower not taking advantage of the 'dual' dynamic something (techy stuff). The gist of it was to have two stick of memory. Also, I think I read the sticks had to be the same size 2x256 or 2x512. Can someone verify this for me?

I plan on getting 512MB RAM. I don't need more than this right now...not a gamer. If I get the 1 stick at 512MB, will I be running at the full 512 or only partial due to it being one stick?

    Thank you in advance.

You can mix and match RAM sizes. I have 1x256 and 1x512 for a total of 768. Dont worry about it not performing good due to only having one stick. If you buy 1x512 then in the future you can upgrade without having to throw away a 256mb stick (like you would if you bough 2x256). If you dont think you will ever want more than 512mb then go with 2x256.
