Does if flash a blue screen or does it stay a BSOD(blue screen of death) untill you manually restart it? If it stays a BSOD and has text, write done or take a picture what it says in the
    ***STOP: line

Also make sure all your drivers are up to date.

I got a blue screen on my DV2125nr XP MCE when booting every time after the Windows XP logo screen last week, so I wrote down the error message and went to the hp website for support. The solution for my problem was to run the Windows Repair console. I was not able to do it right away since the Recovery DVDs that made from my computer some how did not gave me the option to just repair windows, so it was just giving me the option to clean every thing(losing all data) something that I did not wanted since I had some very important info that was not backup, I called hp and they sent me set of recovery dvds for free with 2-3 day shipping. So I got the dvds yesterday and fixed my comp last night and hopefully did not lost any thing.

    I get the following message:

    ***STOP: 0x0000000A (0x546C6D41, 0x0000001B, 0x00000001, 0x81C28A71)

I ran the HP Update and it was fine for couple of re-boots and all of a sudden the blue screen came back.

what is the name of the problem. Because mine said the 'Unmountable_Boot_Volume'. Go to hp.com and search for that problem under support.
