A little light or hope here: I sent my Envy for repair (I'm in France) because my Radiance was dead, and they replaced it with another one.

I hope Dreamcolor comes to the consumer side...especially for the Envy 14 and 17...but name it something else...Dreamcolor is for the true fanatics...

I'll second that but i'm sure it won't be anytime soon. There will be something way better by the time it happens.

Is Radiance has lower quality then Dreamcolor or same?
Also wanted to know if radiance screens are 10 bit? and if so it means that the video card supports 10bit processing which allows to output this bitdepth to an external tv via HDMI?
    Thanks.

Radiance is no where near an IPS screen.

Last time I checked NBC the radiance was beating in stats the mbp ips.
    MBP : Maximum: 302 cd/m²
    Average: 288 cd/m²
    Brightness Distribution: 92 %
    Black: 0.52 cd/m²
    Contrast: 581:1

    Radiance 14 : Maximum: 292 cd/m²
    Average: 263.1 cd/m²
    Brightness Distribution: 80 %
    Black: 0.29 cd/m²
    Contrast: 852:1

Maybe the ips has a little edge over color gammut but I belive that the radiance (that is either IPS or BVA) is not far from it, and the deeper blacks and higher resolution are imo worth it.

MBP's don't use IPS.. the radiance and MBP screen both use TN screens.

Is the Envy 14's screen even high gamut, or is it the basic 60 percent?

    HP claimed 82% colour gamut.
NBC shows a gammut that is slightly smaller than the 17" mbp's one ( that is itself superior to the 15", the mbp 13" screen being just horrendous) .
