    Ram upgrade by user, is it out of warranty?

    I am new user in this form.
    my friends have v2000 has 512MB (1x512) of memory.
    he wants to upgrade memory and if he going to by one more memory and installation by him self, is it make out of warranty?

    If the slot is accessible by removing the screws(generally 1) on the bottom of the laptop, then it does NOT void the warranty. The warranty will be void only if you try to access the slot under the keyboard. In the V2000(I think) both the slots are user accessible and therefore wont void the warranty.
