    Hi guys,

Has there ever been a Compaq Presario with an Imprint finish (presumably Trace but not necessarily) that came with Windows XP native and had a low grade NVIDIA or ATI chipset?

I know it's a strange question, sorry about that.

Sure they did and I currently own one. The V6000z and the V3000z series were offered with XP + Imprint + Nvidia 430Go. Currently the only option for XP would be the V6700tx but unfortunately without the imprint finish nor Nvidia/ATi chipsets.

Some models of the F700 series were sold with the imprint finish but with Vista as the OS along with the Nvidia 630m chipset. Ofcouse, if you are outside the US, then the V3700(AMD) series is still sold in some markets but is AFAIK only available with Vista.

Among those model lines did they offer an Intel processor, or were all of them AMD Turion layouts?

They were all AMD based systems. The Intels versions(speaking of Compaq Presarios) only shipped with the integrated intel X3100 graphics/GM96x chipsets. Nvidia didnt/doesnt have any mobile chipsets for Intel cpu's at this point of time. AMD under ATi brand used to offer the ATi 200m and the X1250 for Intel cpu's but HP didnt use them but I believe Toshiba did ship some models with Intel cpus paired with the ATi chipsets.
