This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hello everyone:
    I hope someone can help me. I have a message on my screen -----
    RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal system DLL Relocation. This was there since Computer was turned on this am. I don't know what it means or how it will affect the use of the computer. How can I correct this problem? Thank you for any advice.

    Apparently the latest series of patchs from Microsoft caused some sort of problem, and it sounds like this is what you are experiencing.

    Here is an article that describes the problem, and here is a link to the hotfix from MS.
