In my deleting rampage I accidently un-installed windows aero and I can't get it back. Is there a way to get it back?

You can't possibly delete Windows Aero. It's part of the GUI. You probably just disabled it. Go to Control Panel > Preferences.

Aero can be enabled by enabling transparency in the Theme settings.

If you really deleted it and are using Vista Ultimate, you can use previous versions to get it back.
