Which one should I get to make use of Vista ReadyBoost feature on DV9000T

    SD.MS/Pro.MMC.XD

I want something which is fast, not too expensive and does not stick out like the USB drive but concealed like the side remote which you can't see once pushed in.

That's regarding turbomemory. The question was regarding Readyboost, which uses fast external storage to cache data.

    kewlguy,
I have a Sandisk memory stick pro duo inserted, and it works for readyboost. However if I want to remove it i'm going to have a hell of a time getting that card out because the slot is so deep. I can't comment on the rest but I'd recommend something easier to remove.

I use a 4gb SD card. I started with a 1gb Sandisk Extreme II. Worked fine. Got a 4gb II and Readyboost didn't like it. Got a 4gb SD Elite Pro SFInc. 3.3v and it works great for readyboost. I have no idea what the access times are like. It's hard to find the specs for all of them. ;)

When you insert any drive a dialogue box pops up in Vista asking how you want to use it. As a Readyboost or other.

It's just another type of cached file system for small quick reads.

I bought mine off Fleabay for less than $30.

My DV has an SD port built in to the lappy so it takes up zero realestate. Of course you can use a thumb drive but you'll hang off a port. :p

I started w/ a 2GB Sandisk MS Pro UltraII. Things were a little bit snappier. I decided I wanted even better and now use an 8GB (4GB to Readyboost) Corsair Voyager GT, which is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, USB drives out there. The computer is noticably snappier.

I was considering a Lexar ExpressCard, but they weren't out at the time. Now, they can be had cheap on eBay:
