    Hey guys,

Words simply cannot explain the headache I've been going through ever since installing a brand new hard drive in my dv6500t. Extremely long story short, I've re-installed Vista along with the various HP drivers. However I've noticed something.

My music playback sounds significantly different from before I installed the new hard drive. I use iTunes and have the equalizer set the same as before. I've installed the Realtek Audio Drivers, however the something just doesn't sound right. The lows aren't as low, the highs aren't as clear.

This has prompted me to go into the Realtek settings, and mess around with the equalizer / enviroment ect. Still can't get it to sound as quite as good as before. My question is this:

To those who own a Pavilion with Realtek Audio HD, if you haven't messed with the sound settings, could you please right click, go to personalize, sounds, find the realtek device and simply relay what your audio settings were set defaulted at from when you received the notebook?

    HELP IS EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!

You can try with audio driver reinstallation.

Open up RECOVERY MANAGER, then select ADVANCED OPTIONS, then select DRIVER REINSTALLATION, and select your audio driver from the list and reinstall it.
