EDIT: I'm sorry I meant to say that the Microphone is not showing up under Realtek HD Audio OUTPUT.

Ok I went through all the hassle and downgraded to XP in hopes of being able to have microphone output coming out of the speakers.

Well when I go to advanced controls in the audio mixer I don't see microphone output anywhere...

I have another laptop (Toshiba) that has a Realtek HD audio sound card as well and the microphone output is there...

Can someone please help me enable microphone output on my laptop? Thanks!

Here is a screenshot showing how the microphone output slider is "missing".

No the conexant drivers didn't work... Said could not find media device.

Hmm have any idea on where I can find old Realtek HD drivers for XP? I tried their website but they only have the current driver. This is so frustrating...

Try searching older dv6000 models in the HP driver website. You can also try the realtek website itself
