okay so I downloaded Driverfinder to see if I had all the current hardware drivers. And out of the 4 that were out of date I found 2 of them. I don't know what Realtek sound chipset I have, the only thing device manager says is Realtek high definition audio. And I searched online and came up with nothing. I even downloaded the newset HD codec from Realtek but driverfinder says it's out of date.
Does anybody have any idea's on how to find what chipset I have?? I'm not looking for someone to do all the searching, just need to go pointed in the right direction. Maybe I can download a program what can give me a model number for it???

BTW I have a snapshot of this issue. And I'm using win7 64 bit

The High Definition Audio driver on Realtek's site is the most currently known package to date (overall Realtek's site is very good at releasing updated packages). Additionally, the audio driver provided by Realtek contains support for nearly all ALC-based chipsets, including the ones found in HP/Compaq notebooks.
Realtek
The version number at the time of this posting was 6.0.1.6215 (R2.53). Don't use the ones that HP provides as they are much older. -
EDIT:
Nevermind problem is solved.
