Received my DV5-1010 but i couldnt believe how much bloatware it come with it. Powering up the laptop felt like time stood still for a few minutes and the amount of rubbish that HP put on the system is unreal. Originally i planned to just remove some bloatware but having seen that there is soooo much on the system i think it would be better to re-install a fresh copy of Vista and also take this opportunity to stick 64bit instead of 32bit :) to make use of the 4GB ram.

Btw would it be a good idea to burn my recovery CD first :) and then do the fresh install..........?

Yeah burn the DVD's before doing a clean install otherwise you would have no option of going back to factory state since the HDD partiton wont work after a clean install.
