    Hello guys,

I have just received today my new laptop ... I now it should not be much difference to my old one but it is!!! I much prefered the dark umber colour of the old Pavilion DV6 I had ... instead of the current grey/silver brushed aluminium.

First of all .. I know my old AMD P960 with the ATI 6470M 512MB DDR3 ... should not be much lower in performance (DV6-6004sa)

But compared to the new Intel i5-2430m with the ATI 6490 1GB DDR5 (DV6-6b51ea)

I played my latest steam game in high settings and maximum resolution for the display 1366x768 Command and Conquer 4 Tiberium Twilight and ... it plays really really well... not cropped/dropped frames etc

So I amazed with games performance.

Now when it comes to battery life ... there is a suprise as well... using the built in Intel HD 3000 graphics I am getting an estimate 7:30hrs ... from normal internet use, word / excel etc... And that is with the box standard 6 cell battery.

One thing that surpsises me though... the ALL CPU gadget, for some reason sees the processor as Quad Core?.... no clue why. I suppose that this software is not fully compatible with Sandy Bridge.

Now need to enter the world of the Intel i s ... and find what the best settings are etc ...

I must admit it appears on the windows 7 benchmark to be 7.0 for the processor ... while my desktop PhenomII x2 550 BlackEdition shows as 6.8 clocked in factory default.

Thanks baiii I knew it was a 2 core but I had forgotten the 4 threads ... I think some need to revise their softwares :) even speedfan show the threads like cores ... but I assume it represends the Queue workload ...
