    Hi folks,

    Just found this forum.

I just tried to upgrade the mini PCIe network card in this machine to an Intel 5300 after reading reviews.

However upon installing I get told that it's not supported even before going into the BIOS.

HP have proved useless just saying they only support a couple of Broadcom cards. I wanted to replace it as the Broadcom one keeps dropping connections.

So I'm now left with trying a PCMCIA or USB card.

    Any suggestions?

...and why is it HP have to stop you using particular cards at a hardware level?

    Cheers :)
    Paul.
