i have the HP 6218TX..when i got it, i had problems with the recovery disc creation and i accidentally deleted the recovery partition. Is there any other way i can get the recovery disks other than sending it to HP to get the HD re-imaged????or is advisable to do that??i have windows vista business.. and also does the reocvery disk vary from computer to computer(i.e.does it depend on the serial no of the version of windows?)...thanks in advance

I'm not quite sure about the re-imaging thing.U need to confirm with HP whether that's feasible or not. I suggest u buy the recovery disks from HP which should cost you about 20 $ US.

I would just call up HP support and tell them you request the recovery disks for your model.

Contact HP and ask them for recovery disks for your model.
